About this film

This story is set in a country resembling ancient Japan. In that world, conflict was constant; some fought to survive, others to protect, and hatred spread unchecked. And within this cycle of hatred, a being known as the "God of Hatred" was born. The protagonist is a young girl whose father was killed by the God of Hatred, and ever since, she has believed the God to be her father's killer and sworn revenge. The God of Hatred, on the other hand, is the transformed form of a boy who, due to the shock and curse of his mother's death at the hands of a "Shogun," sought revenge against the Shogun. It is then revealed that the true culprit who killed the girl's father was actually the Shogun... This story depicts the process by which the hatred of both the girl and the God of Hatred is ultimately sublimated through their encounter and conflict.
