About this film
DOTS is an independent short animated film created with AI. A painter finds inspiration in a field of flowers and decides to capture the scene before him — using pointillism, a technique of building an image dot by dot. The story begins with the discovery that those dots are alive. This story is inspired by A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, painted by the 19th-century French artist Georges Seurat. How It Was Made
I wrote the story and directed it myself, generated the images with GPT 2.0, edited them, then used Seedance to generate the video from those images before doing the final editing.
