A photographer of vanishing Los Angeles finds a slider in her map app that scrolls not into the past — but forward. Twenty-five years ahead, Venice Beach is underwater. And something on the other side of the map has started watching back. Diana Foster documents the LA that is about to disappear — garages, Victorian houses, hand-painted signs. One morning her map reveals a hidden "History" slider that runs *forward* in time. What she sees can save a coastline — or erase the person who found it.
